What kind of garbage should be recycled?

We always hear how important it is to recycle materials. But often what can be recycled is not very clear. I have separated some tips from what can be referred to the selective collection and what should go to the common trash:

  • Paper:

What recycles - Office paper, cardboard, boxes in general, newspapers, magazines, books, telephone directories, notebooks, cardboard paper, cardboards, long life packaging, telephone directories, books.

What does not recycle - Carbon paper, cellophane, parchment paper, thermofax, waxed or laminated papers, toilet paper, tissues, napkins, photographs, tapes or adhesive labels.

  • Plastic:

What to recycle - Bags, CDs, diskettes, cleaning product packaging, PET (such as soda bottles), pipes and tubes, plastics in general.

What does not recycle - Thermosetting plastics (used in the electro-electronics industry and in the production of some computers, telephones and appliances), metallic plastic packaging (such as salt snacks), styrofoam.

  • Glasses:

What recycles - Bottles of drinks, jars in general, jars of food products, glasses.

What does not recycle - Mirrors, crystals, window panes, car windows, lamps *, medicine ampoules, ceramics, porcelains, TV and computer tubes.

* Ideally, this material should be packed and disposed of in places that lead to decontamination.

  • Metals:

What to recycle - Cans of aluminum (soft drink, beer, juice), cans of food products (oil, milk powder, preserves), bottle caps, metal packaging frozen, tinplate.

What does not recycle - Clips, clamps, steel sponges, tacks, nails and pipes.

Protecting our planet starts with you.
